Mr. Jared E. Christensen is a registered patent attorney who joined Sierra IP Law after practicing civil litigation, education law, and construction law at the firms of Price, Postel & Parma, LLP in Santa Barbara, California, and Timothy M. Cary & Associates in Cameron Park, California. Mr. Christensen has also practiced intellectual property (IP) law as a solo practitioner in the areas of preparing and prosecuting patents, and strategic IP counseling regarding room-to-operate and infringement analysis for patents and trademarks.
Mr. Christensen received his J.D. with Honors, and a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, from Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 2014. While at McGeorge, Mr. Christensen externed at the United State Patent and Trademark Office Alexandria, Virginia, and received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in his Federal Courts, Remedies, and Criminal Procedure courses. Mr. Christensen also served as an officer in the McGeorge Intellectual Property Student Association, and was elected Vice President of Evening Students for the Student Bar Association.
Before law school Mr. Christensen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology, with a 4.0 G.P.A., from California State University, Sacramento. Mr. Christensen also worked in translational stem cell research for several years at the University of California, Davis, where he was an author for multiple peer-reviewed publications regarding the characteristics of adult mesenchymal stem cells.
