Joseph E. Mejia

Mr. Joseph E. Mejia is a Technical Associate at Sierra IP Law, PC - Patents, Trademarks & Copyrights. Mr. Mejia assists attorneys in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, patent searching and analysis, and providing insight on a variety of mechanical, software,  and electrical technologies. In addition, Mr. Mejia uses his engineering skills and techniques to design 3D CAD models, wiring diagrams, and provides Fine Element Analysis to Improve client designs further and facilitate broadening the scope of a client’s invention.

Mr. Mejia holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Lyles College of Engineering at California State University Fresno. While at Fresno State, Mr. Mejia has performed research with the Unmanned Aerial Systems and Research Team and has received grants under the umbrella of NASA to investigate the performance of DC electric motors in unmanned aerial vehicles. He carries strengths in design engineering, turbomachinery, control systems, and programming of microcontrollers. He has experience with centrifugal pump design and modeling using ANSYS Fluent and PCB test fixture design for streamlined post-manufacturing testing.

Mr. Mejia is a Member of the Associate Society of Mechanical Engineer, Member of Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and is registered Engineering in Training.
